Twinturbo by far is my favorite. This is the third Twinturbo blowdryer that I have owned. I use them until they don't work anymore. Which has been a year and a half to two years. They are worth every penny you spend on them. Amazon is the cheapest I have found them. There's no fussing with dials for 110 or 220 currents--just plug it in (with enclosed adapter plug). It's big enough for good-sized curls, but packs up compactly. Well worth the price. X5 Superlite Dual Voltage Travel Folding Curling Iron, 1" (Health and Beauty) Heats quickly and curls well. I probably should have bought the larger barrel but oh well. Very lightweight and folded up nicely. I used it throughout England and Scotland and it worked great! I have my own adapter which I found more functional than the plug provided (it kept falling off - it was loose)..

Cortex Pro Curling Iron 1.5 (Black) (Misc.) Great and easy to use curling iron. My only complaint, and its a small one, is that there are no other temperature settings. Otherwise, it is a great and efficient product. It curls instantly and thank goodness for the glove it comes with. You won't be disappointed. Cortex Pro Curling Iron 1.5 (Black) (Misc.) HAI Elite Nano XT Tourmaline Flat Iron, 1" (Health and Beauty) I absolutely LOVE this flat iron. I have been straightening my hair for many years now, and have used the CHI (which are awful) flat irons as well as the Infra (sold as salons)which I upgraded from to the Hai Elite Nano XT iron. I think the Hai is just fantastic, it is comfortable to hold, and the temperature ranges are convenient. My hair is exactly how I like it without frizz and it stays that way throughout the entire day. My only complaint, and the reason for a 4 star review is that I can't seem to turn it on by pressing the temp down button. It turns on at the highest temp and then I have to lower it to where I want it. It needs a memory feature. Overall it works beautifully! .

HAI Elite Nano XT Tourmaline Flat Iron, 1" (Health and Beauty) I have had this iron for a little over one month now, which is not enough time to really comment on durability/lifetime/etc... but I will say that this iron is incredibly gentle, user-friendly, safe and effective. I have hair that is very straight already, but I have chopped it into a blunt bob which tends to poof up and the bottoms curl every direction. I use the iron to smooth, flatten and even out the ends of my bob. It is small enough (width-wise and profile-wise) to grab even the shortest section at the back of my neck and tame it, which I was unable to do with my previous iron. It has both an automatic shut-off, and if you press and hold the "up" button you can also turn it off. It has six heat settings, of which I choose the lower values (around 260 degrees) since I am terrified of frying my hair and do not need the straightening power that some curls likely need. Overall I am thrilled and I hope it lasts me a good long while!! .

My hair stylist used the breast cancer edition of this item on my hair two weeks ago. I hate hairdryers, and refuse to undergo roller sets. I am an African American female with hair midway down my back. Yes, it pretty long and thick, not coarse but thick. My mother loves my hair curled. I don't care for roller sets because they are just too tight and I like the immediate body and bounce from a flat iron curl. Well my stylist used the Babyliss Pro Nano Titanium U Style 1" Flat Iron as I said two weeks ago; she raved about how the iron was made to curl and it did. The curls were really tight and spiral. I didn't wrap, roll or cover my head at night and the curls remained for two weeks. Mind you, they were not as tight as when they were first created, but they remained just giving the hair body and bounce. Personally, I thought the curls were a little too tight but everyone else loved them. I liked them better as they became loser. (By the way I never wrap, roll or cover my hair at night, I simply clap it on top of my head and go to sleep) I am considering purchasing this product, my only hesitation lies in my personal inability to curl or flat iron my own hair because I just suck at it, that is just not one of my gifts.
