Amika 1 Inch Pro-Styler, Pure Silver 1 ea (Misc.) A very dear friend shared her stories about the amazing results she witnessed as she allowed a rep for the Amika flat iron to straighten her daughter's hair on several occasions at a mall kiosk in Delaware and strongly recommended that the flat iron would probably do wonders on my hair also...so I asked the price because I assumed it would be a bit pricey given the results she described especially on thick textured ethic hair we have in common. She suggested I come & experience the results before buying but since we both do our share of bargain hunting...I took my chances and searched for the Amika product on Amazon & was pleased to find a premium flat iron that retails for over $300.00 for only $63.00 with free shipping. I received the flat iron within a few days & used it last night and was pleasantly surprised to get the same results if not better than a trip to the salon!!! I've gotten so many compliments on my hair this morning and I can honestly say that this Amika hair straigtener is awesome & the results were far better than I'd imagined they'd be...FINALLY salon results at HOME!! .

She/he can advise you on the right temperature to use and any heat protection as well. For example, I have very dry, thick, curly highlighted hair. Kerastase Resistance Bain De Force Fortifying Shampoo For Weakened to Fragile Hair, 8.5 Ounce (Health and Beauty) My hair is extremely fine and I've always struggled with the frizzies along with dry brittle strands. Adding highlights to my hair doesn't help with those issues. My stylist recommended this shampoo to me. My initial thought was, "can a shampoo really be worth that much money?" but then realized that given how much I spend to color and cut my hair, that yes, it probably was worth a try. I use this along with the Kerastase Resistance Ciment Thermique and now my hair is smooth. I used to always need to flat iron my hair to keep the frizzies at bay. Now I only do it when I want a super sleek look. Definitely recommend this product! .

Amika Ceramic Hair Straightener (Giraffe) (Misc.) This is a great straightener. Two years ago my daughter wanted one after getting a free consultation in the mall. She loved the way her hair looked. They wanted over $100 and said it retailed for $250. I was not willing to fork over that kind of money. I went online and found the one she wanted (zebra) for $50 and gave it to her for Christmas, 2009. Last year I started using it and fell in love. It gives your hair beautiful shine and doesn't grab like others I've tried. After she went away for a week and took the straigtener with her and my hair looked horrible all week, I purchased one.
