South Shore Furniture, Cakao Collection, Twin Mates Bed 39", Chocolate (Kitchen) I recently bought this bed for my 2-year-old son. It was easy to put together by myself and it is sturdy and well made for an inexpensive bed. The only downside I have found is the drawers aren't on rollers and are hard to pull in and out. I bought this bed to be able to keep my son's toys in the drawers and he is able to pull them out just enough to get his toys out but he can't pull them all the way out so I can't put any bigger toys in there. He also can't push them closed because they stick, which means he's fallen over the drawers trying to get out of bed sometimes. I'm going to try another reviewer's suggestion of putting olive oil on them to see if that will help. If it weren't for the drawers sticking I would have given this bed 5 stars. .

V-Rail Adjustable Center Support System for Wood and Metal Beds This center support system was perfect for our saggy queen mattress! It arrived in just a few days (sooner than predicted) and was easy to put together. I'm a 100 pound female and it was a little heavy to lift but I was able to assemble and install it completely by myself. It took me no more than 40 minutes from the time I opened the box to the time I was putting the sheets back on the bed and jumping on it. It works great and has saved us tons of money. My husband wanted to buy an all new bed and mattresses but for a little over $100 this solved our sagging bed - he is thrilled. I definitely recommend it! Queen South Shore Cosmos Black Modern Platform Bed I didnt believe the other reviews unfortunately when others mentioned the lack of pre-drilled holes, but its true. The entire top needs to be manually lined up with the base, which I can personally handle but why should I? The reason I bought this and not plywood and paint straight from Home Depot was so everything was measured and all I would have to do is screw it together. Instead I found myself drilling and trying to line up pieces as well as I could, even though the trim pieces around the top edge don't actually line up! The bottom also isnt quite the right size for my queen mattress (too wide but just the right length, awkward pieces of wood jutting out from each side of bed now). The package is way too heavy for anyone to carry- despite being 100 pounds its also over 6 feet tall, making moving this package without help or a hand truck nearly impossible. .

South Shore Furniture Basic Collection Full Platform Bed, Black (Kitchen) Got this platform last Wednesday and the packaging had been torn open due to the outside cardboard box being too light to handle the weight of the wood inside. Both ends of the box were taped up with some of the boards sticking out of the box. After constructing the bed I found 4 screws missing. Not a big deal and was able to find substitute screws. I was at first disappointed seeing the box all ripped open and just barely together with tape at both ends, but the bed went together easily with studying the directions and taking my time. I did it all by myself in about 2 hours with a Phillips-head screw driver. I would suspect that I am not the only one that will receive this platform with the box ripped open. The box appears too flimsy to contain the wood that I guess weighs about 50 to 75 pounds if not more. Just a warning for anyone who buys this to be aware of... I would have given this 5 stars if the packaging was better and thicker to contain and protect what is inside. .

Since I weigh 240 lbs, the strength of the frame was a big concern. What I did was look for the heaviest shipping weight and figured that would mean a thicker and hopefully, stronger grade of steel.
