Foamex 10" Premium Eco-Friendly Memory Foam Mattress with Aerus Natural Memory Foam Comfort Layer with Rayon Made from Bamboo Cover (Kitchen) I did a lot of research on memory foam mattresses, including Tempur-Pedic mattresses starting at $2000 for a queen. This one cost 1/4 that price and I think is just as good. Made in USA, Foamex is a leader in memory foam technology. There are a lot of cheaper-made Chinese imports out there, which I suspect are inferior. Ships in a heavy vacuum packed plastic wrapping inside a large cardboard box. Once I unwrapped it, it seemed too small for my frame, but within 24 hours it filled the frame just right and expanded to dimensions listed on Amazon. I noticed only the slightest smell for the first day, which disappeared quickly. Cover is very good quality stretch fabric, with a zipper along the bottom for easy removal and cleaning. This mattress rocks! I've noticed I don't toss and turn as much as I did with my old inner spring mattress, and don't wake up during the night. It's a slight bit firmer than I thought it would be, but still totally comfortable. Strongly recommend this product. . » original news

Serta 10-Inch Gel Foam 3-Layer Full Mattress (Kitchen) To start off, i want to say that this i really like this mattress. Absolutely no smell, not too soft, and i don't feel any heat retention that i read about on the foam mattresses.Unfortunately, my only complaint is that after the first week or two, it loses it's firmness. For some people that might be a good thing, since they might like softer beds, but for me, i like firm beds. not hard, just firm. The first week was heaven. It feels firm when you first lay on it, but slowly it just merges with you body so that any pain points are softened. But by the 3rd week, The spot where I usually slept began to get too soft, at least for my preferences. When i switch to the other half of the bed, it was perfect, at least until it gets too soft as well. But overall, it's a good bed, i like it. Just didn't like how it lost its firmness so quickly. Good luck on your bed search! . » original news

12" Deluxe Full (54"x75") Therapeutic w/5" 5LB Viscoelastic Memory Foam Mattress with Dual AirFlow System There are only FOUR main things you need to know about memory foam to get the most restful sleep youve ever had: 1. The country the foam comes from 2. Temperature sensitivity 3. Density 4. Thickness of the memory foam layer: #1. Foreign foams with all their toxic chemicals (CFC's, Formaldehyde, PDBE's, etc.) have sparked many false rumors like sleeping hot and stinking. Quality American made foams have little, if any, detectable smell. If they do, it's more like a new car smell and isn't toxic. It'll be gone in a few hours after opening your package. So, even if the mattress is advertised as American made, be sure they don't use foreign foam to make it. Watch out for this, it's a deceptive practice that some manufacturers use to make you think they're using American foam by saying American Made. #2. Temperature sensitivity is one of the most crucial features that makes a memory foam mattress so unique and so different from any other kind of mattress. Coil spring mattresses are not temperature sensitive. They can't react to your body heat. This is why someone, who has an injury, which is fevered, would feel more comfortable on a memory foam mattress. The mattress would soften under that injured body part. #3. The next most important thing that you MUST consider, when choosing your mattress is the density of the memory foam. The density can be described as the weight, of a cubic foot of memory foam. Most mattress retailers will try to sell you something in a 3 lb density range. Hey, that's fine if you want a mattress that FAILS to support your lower back, shoulders and hips and will only last for 1 or 2 years. What you need is densities of at least 4.0-5.0 lbs MINIMUM! #4. My advice, at least 3 inches! The importance of selecting a mattress with the correct thickness of memory foam on top, cannot be stressed enough. If this layer is too thin, then you'll end up sleeping, partly, on the underlying base foam, having a very poor and uncomfortable nights sleep. A 14 inch mattress with only a 2 inch layer of memory foam on top isn't as high quality as a 10 inch mattress with 3 inches of memory foam. It's not the thickness of the mattress, it's the thickness of the actual memory foam. Getting a great nights sleep is too important, sleeping on anything else is just not an option! The rest you get at night affects the whole other 2/3rds of your day. So you need to know that you are getting the best bang for your buck. This is the closest mattress to a high quality Tempur Pedic memory foam mattress your going to get, ESPECIALLY for for the money. This mattress will last and give you the total body support that you need to have a restful nights sleep. My mattress is on its way in the mail when it arrives and I finally get to sleep on it I will update! . » original news

California King 12" w/5" 5LB Density Viscoelastic Memory Foam Mattress I cant believe the quality of this bed, and i cant believe the price i paid! Tempur Pedic has quite a few models out now, and i would say this bed falls somewhere in the middle of their selection. It does not feel like their original BRICK-like bed where the foam takes forever to go back to normal when you turn over. It is much better than that! I love soft pillow-top beds, and my husband loves firm and supportive. This bed suits both of us perfectly. It is soft enough to feel like a medium firm with pillow-top, and firm enough to support my heavy set husband comfortably. He really loves the bed too. It is a great bed. My neighbors suggested us to buy it on amazon, they have the same one in Queen, and after 4 years theirs is still like the day they bought it. . » original news

Queen Therapeutic Luxury 12-Inch Memory Foam Mattress (Kitchen) No tracking for shipping! You can do nothing but wait a couple of weeks. If you need a bed in a short time, look for something else. Very bad smell, has to be exposed in open air more than two weeks to let the odor go! You just can not sleep on this chemical board! My brother got one from SleepWarehouse, that one cost about one hundred bucks more but but also much more comfortable! Got it at the $420 this April, just curious why they have raised the price so fast to $500? Think before you buy this staff!
Luxury Grand QUEEN 14 inch Memory Foam Mattress FREE SHIPPING! I have had "back problems" for what seems forever. My wife and I have been looking locally for a new mattress for quite sometime and really liked those name brand memory foam pedics. Problem with those was for us, the price. Couldn't bring myself to the point that I could justify that much money for a mattress. Actually came across this one by accident while looking at Amazon. We decided to give it a try and after almost 4 weeks, I really could't be happier. My back is almost perfect and we both get a great nights sleep. I'm 100% SOLD. Service, Shipping and set-up was all that they said it would be. Just Perfect! Thank You for a GREAT EXPERIENCE. Ill try to review again in a few more months but so far it"s PERFECT.... Guess What folks..It is now December 29,2011 and both my wife and I are enjoying this mattress. No problems and my back problems from the past HAVE NOT RETURNED...
KING 12" Therapeutic Memory Foam Mattress with 5" 5.3LB Viscoelastic Memory Foam I will preface this by saying though I am very active, I have had lower back issues my whole life. Including surgery. I am not wealthy so finding the right mattress - for the lowest price was very important. Some facts you should consider when buying a mattress. 1) Comfort does not equal support. Most people think comfort is the most important, not true. IF you have any back issues forget about the cushy beds and pillowtops - you can't have it both ways. If your back is fine - then the cushy cushy is fine. I have had doctors, surgeons, and chiropractors tell me "get a supportive" mattress. This mattress is VERY firm, VERY supportive. There is NO motion transfer to the other person in the bed when you get in or out. If you like memory foam pillows, your gonna love this bed. 2) Not all memory foam is the same. GET THE lbs/ per sq foot. I did so much research my wife was annoyed, but The more dense the foam, the more support and the better the longevity of the mattress. I looked at the novafoam, but its far less dense. I looked at the temperpedic and this mattress has the exact same density, at 1/3 the price. The 5.3 lbs per sq foot is the exct same as the expensive temperpedic. I LOVE THIS BED. The only draw back is that its made in China and the quality control standards and safety standards may not be the same - but I had to take a chance for the price. I buy American when I can - this was not one of those times. As for the mattress - its perfect - loved it from the first day!! My wife needed a week to get used to it - but her back is better too. Does it sleep hot? Have not noticed that at all. My wife says a little. Didn't notice the smell after one night. ITS HEAVY. You'll need help moving it around and getting it unpacked and put in place. This is the best bed purchase ever. I have no doubt the inner spring mattress is going the way of the rotary phone. Anyone who sleeps on this type of bed wouldn't go back to a spring mattress. . » original news

12-Inch Twin XL Deluxe Memory Foam Mattress for Adjustable Bed Base My wife and I purchased the 12 inch king split with the adjustable bed. We were concerned about ordering off the internet but decided to risk it based on the reviews. The two mattresses arrived in a few days in a package about the size of a small barrel. They were pretty easy to move. It was amazing that they became a 12 inch full size mattress after opening the sealed wrap. The mattress did have a little oder initially but that disappeared in a few days. The adjustable bed frame was delivered after two weeks and was very easy to assemble. They were however pretty heavy. So you may want to plan to have some help when you plan to assemble them. After almost 3 months, my wife and I love the bed and we have volunteers to house sit when ever needed. I believe this mattress will be around for a very long time but if I had to replace it every few years, I would certainly consider it. This is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. . » original news

King Celebrity 13-Inch w/5.5" Pillow Top 5.3LB Memory Foam Mattress (Kitchen) I wasn't sure what to expect with this mattress but I do give the company a big plus for getting it to us so quickly. As others have said, it was here within a week of ordering it. We are still trying it out; we've had it I think for about five weeks now? It's amazing how hard it feels as you first lay down on it and then it softens up a bit as you lay on it for longer than five minutes. It doesn't transfer motion so that if either one of us has a restless night the other one isn't affected. As to the sleeping, yeah it's more comfortable than our old inner spring Doctor's Choice two year old mattress. I do like is the price of this mattress, if it is indeed comparable to the Tempurpedic beds, its waaaayyyyy less expensive than Tempurpedic. There is no way I'm spending [...] on a mattress! And that is the price of a comparable Tempurpedic's mattress, not the entire bed set...OY! I don't like how the sides collapse as you sit on the side of the bed, that's uncomfortable. And the smell of the mattress has not dissipated even though the company claimed it would after two weeks. It kind of smells funky even now! Lastly, I have no idea how to send it back if we didn't like it after 90 day trial. It came super compressed rolled up in a bunch of plastic that we had to cut off to get the mattress opened. The company wants you to use the same packaging to send it back, which wouldn't work because we don't have any way to compress the foam back into the original shape it was in when it shipped, never mind the packaging was torn and ripped up when we got it. We had bought a very expensive King size bed set from Denver Mattress five years ago and within three years, our first bed had great big ruts in the mattress where we had slept and a large hump in the middle. So we exchanged it while it was still under warranty and got another, less expensive Doctor's Choice inner spring's mattress, which also failed after two years. One of the problems with King size beds is the hump that it develops in the middle. I'm curious to see if our foam mattress does this? We haven't had it long enough to see yet. Only time will tell if we have a great bed or another poor substitution. . » original news

Textrade Full Inner Spring Pillow Top Mattress in a Box (Kitchen) We purchased this mattress for our 4 year old daughter that had a pretty uncomfortable bed. We wanted something affordable, comfortable, and that would last a long time. I had reservations about purchasing a mattress online, but after going to a couple of local stores and realizing that my wallet was about to be relieved of a lot of its weight, I decided to start looking to Amazon. I read a couple of the reviews, and you'll notice that most mention how cool it is to unpack this mattress. This is an understatement, the entire thing comes in a box that's ridiculously small for the actual size of this package. It is compressed, vacuum sealed, and rolled up. What's even cooler is that the box it comes in has wheels and has a handle. We literaly pulled this up to a third story in less than 5 minutes, you pull it out of the box, unroll it, cut the plastic, and WHOOSH you have a full mattress in front of you! My daughter loves it, but heck, kids will love anything. But this doubles as my daytime mattress when I'm working in the midnight shift and my wife needs to come in and out of our bedroom. I get excellent rest in this thing, it is really comfortable. It is equally comfortable to mattresses I saw in the store for $700. The pillowtop is not super thick, but it's thick enough. PROS: + Cheap + Easy and fun to set up and unpack, doesn't get any better than this + Surprisingly comfortable. It's a bit on the softer side. CONS: - You'll have to get your own box spring and frame set. This is harder than it sounds if you don't want to give someone $100 at a local store. - The corners and edges seem a little bit soft. Probably due to lack of spring support towards the ends. This effectively makes the mattress a bit smaller than it looks. But to me this is a very insignificant difference, probably one or two inches on each end. The plus to this, however, is if you have the mattress directly on the floor it's easy to rest your head on it and have the rest of your body on the ground :) You can't go wrong with this if you need something now and for little. I'm very happy to have tried this out. I highly recommend it. . » original news

Luxury Grand KING 14 inch Memory Foam Mattress FREE SHIPPING! Like all of you reading these reviews I had questions, especially when a product is less than 1/6 th the cost of another. I was looking to replace an old convention foam king size mattress that was getting swayback. I dropped by the local mattress store and moved from mattress to mattress looking for one that felt good. The cheapest one that felt good were just over a $3,000 Serta iComfort all the way up to the $7,300 Tempur-Pedic GrandBed. Obviously the higher the price the more comfortable they felt, maybe just in my head, maybe not. Without question though the Tempur-Pedic GrandBed felt the best to me. I just couldn't justify spending that kind of money on a mattress. So like all of you reading this, I started doing web searches looking for a better deal.Finding the Dynasty King for just over $1,000, and reading the rave reviews, even comparing it to the Tempur-Pedic GrandBed , seemed too good to be true, and I wondered maybe all of these reviews were just Dynasty salesmen pumping the product. I had a few questions about the Dynasty Grand King and it was a Sunday, so I dropped an email; expecting to get an answer the following week. Low and behold, I almost immediately received a response for Tony. We live in a different age, so I know Tony could be a one man show with a warehouse shipping in memory foam mattresses from China. But, the fact is the same could almost be true about the Tempur-Pedic mattresses, with a few more people on the staff. Mattresses are like jewelry, they are marked up 100% or more at retail. That's the world we live in today, like it or not. I did like the prompt response from Tony, so I ordered the Grand King Dynasty. I had a shipping conformation the next day.Four days later I found a 131 lb plastic wrapped roll, like a big carpet, at my front door. No one was around, so I struggled getting it up two flight of stairs myself. Pulled my old mattress off and dropped on the new. It slowly started to re-inflate over the next few hours. I'm writing this review on the following day, so I've only slept on it one night, but here is my initial impression. After reading all the review comments about adjusting to it, I sort of knew what to expect. It does feel a little firmer than the Tempur-Pedic GrandBed, at least initially, maybe it will soften. It felt strange and very firm compared to the sagging foam mattress I had covered with a down filled mattress pad. I woke up a half dozen times just because it felt so different to my body. As the sun was coming up, and as I lay half asleep, I felt like I was floating. I could feel no pressure points. The temperature was very comfortable and uniform, with out the hot spots I had sleeping on the down mattress pad. I was worried about it being too hot. I didn't want to get out of bed, so I just layer there for awhile enjoying the relaxing comfort. I was also expecting to have a real backache from struggling with the mattress earlier, but I didn't. And, it wasn't just me. I looked over, and my Sharpei dog, who will normally jump up onto the foot of the bed, when I go to bed, but will only stay for 15 minutes before he jumps back down and goes back to his own bed. This morning for the first time he was still laying there at the foot of the bed cutting logs, I had another opinion agreeing with my initial findings. :> I think I may have to buy him his own dog memory foam bed if I want to get rid of him.Anyway...that's my opinion, and I'm not a mattress salesman writing this. Looking forward to going to bed tonight with a good book, and I think the comfort level will only get better with time. If my initial impression changes I'll let you know. . » original news

Sarah Peyton 10-Inch Convection Cooled Memory Foam Mattress (Kitchen) We just received our new mattress three days ago. I was a bit skeptical because I was buying a mattress over the internet that I'd never even felt. I was even more skeptical when I saw the thin rolled up mattress waiting on the patio when I got home from work. But as soon as we got it into our bedroom and peeled the many layers of plastic wrap off, it immediately began to "puff up" and look more like a regular mattress. I was expecting to smell the horrible scent many of the other reviewers were experiencing, but there was none. Maybe the manufacturers have finally caught on and pre-aired the mattreses? At any rate, I patiently waited 48 hrs before I tried the mattress out even though I'm sure it was ready the next day. The mattress felt very firm compared to our old one but you could instantly feel it conforming to your body. I must have fallen asleep right away, which is something that rarely ever happens except when I'm really exhausted. I woke up almost 9 hours later completely rested and I was in the same position I was in when I fell asleep. I don't know that I didn't switch positions throughout the night, but there was definitely none of my usual flip-flopping. There was no back pain of any kind. I usually experience a bit of stiffness and acheyness... but there was nothing. I'll definitely be recommending this mattress to those I know shopping around for a new mattress. And as soon as we get moved into our new home, we'll be buying another one for the guest room. I just hope they don't get too comfortable that they'll never want to leave. . » original news

King 12" w/5" 5LB Density Viscoelastic Memory Foam Mattress (Kitchen) Before purchasing, I asked Dynasty Mattress where their mattresses were made. Tony at Dynasty Mattress said they had both USA and China mattresses. I asked for one made in USA. When we opened it up there were no tags or papers with or on the mattress; i.e., unpacking instructions, warranty, composition of materials, or country of origin. The memory foam top layer on this mattress was only 2 3/4 - 3" thick, not the 5" advertised. I checked, and it was not the 5.3lb density foam, but the lighter 3lb density foam. Also, the cover was not a four-way zipper, but opened on only one side. The material was like a sheet. Looking at the pictures on Amazon, this was not in the original packaging, meaning it could have been a return. The shipping weight was 82lbs, not 110lbs, meaning the components were much lighter than what I bought. I said this mattress would have to be returned, and not at my expense. They claimed the mattress sent was actually better than the one advertised, which was completely untrue. They agreed to send the correct mattress, which they did, but wanted me to try to sell the other one for them! I said no, I wasn't a mattress salesman, and that they would have to arrange to have it picked up, packed, and shipped back. They then offered it to me for a greatly reduced price. After I said I still didn't want it, they said to keep it. The "correct" one they sent had a smell that lasted for about five weeks. One side was slightly rounded instead of straight. The cover, which looked like a Tempur-Pedic, was the nicest part. It never fully conformed to body contours, making it feel unduly firm. I sold it after six months and bought a Tempur-Pedic Rhapsody. While it was much more expensive, it was worth it in sleep comfort. . » original news

Queen Celebrity 13-Inch Pillow Top w/5.5" Memory Foam Mattress This is my first review of a purchase on Amazon. I am leaving it because this is a fairly major purchase based on the price. I was of course hesitant to purchase a mattress online, but like others I had tried temperpedic in the stores and did not want to fork out 3K for a mattress. The reviews on here are mostly good which is why I decided to give it a shot... my mistake... here is why. Pros: The bed is comfortable, similar in feel to the softer end temperpedic beds. Cons: Quite a few people say something about the smell on here, let me tell you the off-gassing of the petroleum in this bed is much worse and way longer than you think it will be. We figured it might air out after a couple of days but it did not. We then left it out in the garage for two weeks and it did nothing but stink up our garage, after bringing it back in, the entire house (1500 sq ft) smelled like the chemicals off gassing from this mattress. The chemical smell caused both my husband and I to feel nauseated, fatigued, and have headaches. The foam is made of petroleum and it is made in China according to the tag on the bed. If you search the internet for ways to get rid of the smell, you will find some very interesting articles about all of the health problems associated with fumes that come from these types of memory foam mattresses. Had I seen them before, I definitely would not have ordered. If you are at all sensitive to smells or concerned about exposure to chemicals and fumes, I would urge you to research visco-elastic memory foam health concerns before purchasing. Also I have nothing against China, but this might be one of those things they can only make over there because of the health hazards associated with what went into the bed. Consider the cost of shipping these heavy mats from China to the US and the price they sell it for here. That should at least make you think about what you are buying. Also the description states it has a removable cover... it doesn't. it has a removable zip sheet from the bottom side of the bed, you can not peel off the cover though because it is glued on from the top. I hate to be negative about this because we really hoped it would work... but like the saying goes, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Also note, hopefully the return process will go smoothly, (it usually does with amazon), but they ship it vacuum packed and in a small box. There is no way to re vacuum pack it and get it back into a box once you open it. . » original news

Textrade King Inner Spring Pillow Top Mattress in a Box (Kitchen) I am so pleased with the quality of this mattress. The bed arrived within 2 days (prime shipping) and within 15 minutes it was ready to sleep on. I've not noticed any issue with sheets not fitting but maybe it's because I'm using jersey sheets and they tend to shrink up a little when you wash them. This is definitely a softer mattress so keep that in mind. I had a firm mattress previously and it took 2 nights for my back to adjust but now i'm sleeping better than i ever have. I debated with myself on whether or not to get it for a long time, The price is great but for me every penny counts and I knew it wasn't going back in a box if I didn't like it. I hope amazon continues to carry this mattress as I plan on getting another for my son when his mattress wears out. . » original news

10" Deluxe Twin (38"x75") Therapeutic w/3" Memory Foam Mattress with Dual AirFlow System - FREE SHIPPING IN 48 STATES! I've spent most of my teenage years up late at night on all kinds of assignments and late night gaming sessions(I was a kid!). This has left me with irregular sleep patterns that never fully normalized until I purchased this mattress 364 days ago. The purchase of this mattress has eased my tensions when I try to rest and allows me to drop into a coma for at least eight hours of good restful sleep. This was an amazing buy when it was nearly forty dollars more expensive a year ago and it's done wonders for my posture and health while I work and go to college. Some other important details such as odor and firmness of the mattress should also be highlighted. The odor of the mattress dissipated within a couple of weeks for me and hasn't returned. The mattress itself is firm enough that you don't have to worry about spilling a drink on it if you leave it on the bed(I wouldn't recommend this) and soft enough to really let you unwind after a bad day. My weight as a male at a maximum of 265 lbs a year ago(I've lost 40 lbs since) never became an issue with this mattress either. Buy this mattress. You won't regret it. . » original news

Sleep Innovations 8-inch Sure Temp Queen Memory Foam Mattress (Kitchen) The mattress was easy to unpack and regained its shape within a day. The mattress is very commfortable when used with an existing box spring. There is some odor from the foam that mostly disapates after a few days and completely after several weeks. Leaving the mattress unfolded and uncovered as recommended for several days would likely overcome this minor annoyance. A great night's sleep is the best feature. The mattress aborbs shock and movement as an added benefit. If you would like a foam mattress the price is very reasonable for a mattress of this quality. Sleep Innovations 8-inch Sure Temp Queen Memory Foam Mattress (Kitchen) I bought this mattress so my girlfriend and I would have more room in bed and not be constantly rolling over onto each other, and to replace an old pillow top spring mattress.. » original news

King Bed 8" Thick Wood Box Foundation for memory foam, latex, and air mattresses Ok so this is an interesting concept. First, my husband and I argued as to whether or not the box could possibly have a box springs in it - he said no way and I told him that it was. We opened the box to find that "some assembly is required." The assembly is very easy. It took us less than 30 minutes for sure. I think a few more screws in the slats would have been much better and I would recommend that to the company - it's a little cheap feeling as is, but that is not a big deal. Anyway, we got to the part where we were supposed to put the cover over the wood frame and I was a little disappointed by the fact that our cover was a little big - didn't fit quite right and so the whole thing looked a little "home-made" if you know what I mean. We went ahead and used it and got no complaints from our guests, so with a bedskirt or long bedspread it works fine. If you need a king size box springs, you want it shipped to you, you don't want to pay a lot, and no one is going to see it I would recommend this item. It met our needs so I am giving it four stars. I took one away because it does appear a little "home-made" to me and a few more screws would have improved the quality. . » original news

Textrade Queen Inner Spring Pillow Top Mattress in a Box (Kitchen) I ordered this mattress because of all the great reviews it had. It was meant to be used as a temporary bed while I wait for construction to end. Yes, it was pretty cool watching it go from a box to a full fledged mattress, but as excited as I was to get it, it was a huge disappointment. My initial instincts said that if they could fold this mattress into a box, its springs could not be very strong. I should have listened to my own instincts. The mattress is so soft, it's like sleeping on a bed of jello. There is no support what-so-ever. I tend to enjoy soft mattresses, but this one sinks as you sleep on it, so I wake up constantly throughout the night with back pains or with my head much lower than the rest of my body. It really is too bad, and once it's out of that box, there is no way to return it. Had read a few reviews with the same complaint. Should have listened to them. . » original news

Serta 12-Inch Gel Foam 3-Layer Queen Mattress (Kitchen) My husband suffers from a back disability and has already had 2 surgeries. He frequently cannot get a good consistant rest and rarely sleeps through the night. We went on vacation and slept on this mattress in my sister's house. My husband said he had never slept so well! I asked her what type of memory foam mattress it was and she told me it was an 8-inch serta gel-foam mattress ("the one with the sheep"). I decided then and there that it would be his Christmas present this year. I bought the Serta 12-inch gel-foam mattress as I did not intend to use my old box springs as my sister did. For the frame, I bought the Platform Metal Frame from Night Therapy which was so simple to assemble. I can gladly report that the 1st night he slept on this mattress, he slept for 8 hours straight! It was amazing! I couldn't have picked anything better! It was a little cumbersome and definitely needed two people to set it up but easier than dragging a queen mattress into the house. It was quite fascinating to watch as it "grew up!" (now wished I had videotaped it) I did not notice any odor in the room, but left the windows open anyways. He was able to sleep on it the first night with no problem. I am very pleased with this purchase! It has been 2 weeks now and he is sleeping longer and waking up less. I hope it continues this way. . » original news

If you need a bed frame in a pinch and are a svelte individual, this is probably an ideal product for you. However, if you and your partner weigh in excess of 400 pounds total, expect this frame to bend, bow and ultimately break under the strain. The claim that each section can hold 1,200 pounds is simply not true and this product only gets two stars for the fact that the company was willing to replace the frame each time it broke (three times in total).
6inch memory foam mattress - TWIN - foam mattress I've never owned a memory foam mattress before, but I'm impressed with this one and happy with the price. I purchased this for camping, sleeping in the back of my Toyota 4Runner. With the seats folded down, it's a very hard surface with no give. With everything else I tried, I couldn't get comfortable, and I woke up with sore spots. I'm a big guy - 6' 3" and about 300 lbs. Sleeping on this mattress is pure heaven. I can sleep on my back, on my side, in any position, and I'm more than comfortable. I never feel the rock-hard floor beneath me at all. I now sleep better than anyone else at camp. I hate to get up in the mornings! I was concerned because everyone told me it would be hot, but this has been a really hot summer, and I think it's cooler than my old air mattress. I don't see it wearing out, but if I thought it would, I'd buy another one to have a spare. . » original news

LUCID by LinenSpa 8" Memory Foam Firm Viscoelastic Mattress 20-Year Warranty, Twin I love our new mattress. I wanted to put my little girl in a big girl bed; I'm so glad I decided to try this mattress. I bought it for my daughter but I'm sure my husband and I will be getting one soon, we have both enjoyed laying down by her as she goes to sleep because of the great mattress. It is the prefect combination of firm and soft and she loves it, and so do we. Yay for a great big girl bed that is great quality, came packaged so nicely, and has a great warrenty!
LUCID by LinenSpa 12" Memory Foam Triple-Layer Plush Viscoelastic Mattress 20-Year Warranty - Bamboo Cover, Queen Got this mattress for $400 with free 1-day shipping. I have never owned a memory foam mattress, and was very weary of ordering one of none recognized brand. I went for it, and can say that I am glad I did! Some notes for others reading reviews about this item:1) The 'chemical smell' is highly over exaggerated. Yes, there is a smell if you put your face in it, but it is very faint and you have to be looking for it.. Just laying on the bed there is no disgusting odor aerating.2) The air out process completed within an hour, not 2 days.3) The bed is NOT too firm. I'd say, in my opinion, that this is the perfect density foam. The foam hugs you, but you also do not sink into it and get that uncomfortable pressure, it's just the right firmness.4) It will NOT take you a week to get used to this mattress.Anyone having sleeping issues, waking up tired, or waking up several times during the night should definitely invest in this product as it will help you. With the return policy, and 20-year warranty, there is really nothing to worry about. I have for years had serious sleeping issues and most of them were eradicated from day one with this mattress, DON'T WAIT!Hope this helps anyone out there looking for a better nights sleep. . » original news

LUCID by LinenSpa 10" Memory Foam Firm Viscoelastic Mattress 20-Year Warranty, Queen The mattress came compressed to make it easier to handle. Personally I was really glad it did. I did not notice any smell at all. It was firm and had us worried at first but after sleeping on it we have been loving it since day one. I wake up in the same spot I fell asleep in and feel totally rested. I can't see why anyone would pay more. I know the old saying "you get what you pay for" but I also know that it is not always true if you are informed. Sometimes you just get taken. My brother has one of those way expensive well known brands and neither one of us or our wives can tell the difference. They both wish they would have known about this one first. And both mattresses have a 20 year warranty. I would not hesitate to purchase this brand again. . » original news

Sleep Innovations 10-inch Sure Temp Memory Foam Mattress - King Size (Kitchen) My wife and I wanted to upgrade from our traditional mattress. I thought this would be a good buy based on the reviews, and the fact that we had really loved the memory foam topper that we got 2 years ago.(Foamex Areus) Not so. I was concerned that it would be too soft, and that we (particularly I, being well over 200lbs) would sink in readily. On the contrary, I never got the pleasant sinking feeling I had felt on softer mattresses. (friend has a Cloud Tempurpedic) I've read in some reviews that it takes a few weeks to to break in, so we gave it some time, but my shoulders and back continue to hurt, as do my wifes. We will be returning it, I wanted a mattress to help my back feel better, not worse. The root issue is that the foam density is not specified in the item description. Just too firm for us. . » original news

Sleep Innovations 12-inch Sure Temp Memory Foam Mattress - Queen Size (Kitchen) Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?) Sleep Innovations 12-inch Sure Temp Memory Foam Mattress - Queen Size For the past half year I've been researching memory foam mattresses to replace a less than comfortable 6 year old mattress. Six years is young in terms of the life of a mattress but comfort is important and quality is too. The old 12" Spring Air just wasn't living up to its part. Having the opportunity to test this queen size 12" memory foam mattress was too good to be true. I jumped at the opportunity. It was a perfect sized replacement, everything would fit. The large heavy box arrived about a week after the order was placed. My UPS guy graciously rolled it into my apartment. I had a small furniture dolly that he put it on. That helped me move it to my living room where I would open it. I would advise, strongly, that you enlist a friend to help with moving this and your old mattress. I did not follow my advice. That said, let's open it up! I carefully, using a box cutter with its blade extended as little as I could, cut the tape sealing the box. Inside was a large cylindrical thing wrapped in heavy gauge plastic. Seeing that I knew I don't want to be cutting that with a box cutter. I tipped the box and hauled out the cylinder on to a flat sheet I spread out in front of my TV in the living room. I wanted to give the mattress the 48 hours it needed to expand. I have plenty of room here for it. To open the actual mattress package I enlisted a tool I knew would work well. A Scotch 3M Mail Opener that Amazon actually sells but dare I say not for this purpose. It worked perfectly, the blade is recessed and won't cut the foam yet it sliced through the plastic with ease. While slicing, the air started to rush in or out, not sure, but it made a hissing sound. The mattress quickly expanded to become a recognizable bed from the rolled lump it was. Once it rolled itself out and stabilized it was quiet and "mattressy." It has a cover that is white on the up side and yellowish on the underside. I'll upload a picture I took of the expanded mattress and the delivery box to give a size relation. I gave the mattress 48 hours to settle and expand. I noticed that the outer skin fits better after the two day rest. It was then time to swap out the old mattress with the Sleep Innovations one. Like I said earlier, get a friend to help you move them. Queen mattresses are big heavy and clumsy. I got the Spring Air up on its side and slid it out of the way and did the same with the SI. It's a bit clumsy to slide it as it's got no handles and isn't easy to grab on to. Still I got it in on the box spring and took a short rest before I made the bed up. Then I got to test drive the bed properly with a well-deserved nap. My first experience on the SI mattress was quite nice. I did notice a faint smell of the foam, but it wasn't strong and has since dissipated. I've now also slept on the bed for a few nights now and have noticed a few points. It is firm yet the top is quite soft. I find it far more comfortable than the previous Spring Air. Night and Day, to be precise. When you lie on the bed there is a very obvious softness to the surface but you feel like you are fully supported. I'm a heavy guy and it feels GREAT. Another thing, sitting on the edge of the bed is very good. You feel, right, you don't feel like you're going to slide off. My old bed had a similar strong edge to it. This is very good for putting on socks or maybe watching TV while sitting on the edge. I do sometimes wake up with a back ache, not yet with this mattress but it is new and I'll reserve judgment. So far, though, very impressed and delighted. Did I say, I like it...? If you have an existing bed you can use your existing box spring and frame to support the memory foam mattress. That will save you some money. The queen size is selling for just around $500 now on Amazon. Having shopped and considered the Tempur-Pedic brand, you may realize, this price is a steal. The 20 year warranty is very comforting too. I'll revisit this review over time and update it. Right now I'm delighted with it and heartily recommend it. . » original news

King Size Platform Storage Bed (Espresso) (18.75"H x 78.5"W x 81.5"D) (Kitchen) We received this bed very quickly and it was in perfect condition. The instructions were very straight forward and easy to follow. When all was said and done we ended up with a fantastic product that we would definitely recommend to anyone interested in a platform bed with drawers. The price was just right as well. When pricing beds in furniture stores, we found similar beds to be priced double or triple what we paid for this one, including shipping. You will definitely want to get the headboard as well as the drawer prevent having a nightstand too close by. VERY HAPPY with this bed! King Size Platform Storage Bed (Espresso) (18.75"H x 78.5"W x 81.5"D) (Kitchen) We recently bought this bed as a Christmas present to ourselves to try and get some organization into our bedroom. We have a very small house, with two adorable but messy kids, so any way to store, organize or hide things is great! My husband put it together, and the headboard that is suggested to go with it, in a little over 3 1/2 hours with a few little breaks and 1 smahed thumb.. » original news

Queen Size Bi-Fold Folding Bed Frame Our bed frame arrived with 8 leg braces detached to allow for folding. The bolts and wing nuts were shipped attached to the 4 ends so what we had to do was remove them, rotate the braces into position and screw them back in. With two of us working it took about 15 minutes. I deducted one star for this. Our installation is permanent but if you want to store the frame it might be considered a hassle. When set-up our queen bed frame is supported by 12 legs, 4 on each end and four in the middle. We use a foam mattress which itself is 12" thick. Our previous bed frame, the one Amazon sells for $109 with wooden slats, had collapsed, had a support beam running the length of the bed in the middle. Since you tend to sink into a foam mattress that beam which would be between two side-by-side sleepers was quite obvious. The construction of this frame has the support beam (where it folds) running left to right about waist level when you're lying down and is basically NOT felt. The manufacturer mentions headboard and footboard brackets available on their website but no info on prices or how to order. An included warranty card mentions a 5 year limited warranty offered when you send in the warranty card but no other information other than contact info. . » original news

Legare Frog Twin Bed (Kitchen) I have purchased the bed directly from website of the 3rd party who sells on Amazon as well. I just received the delivery of the bed yesterday. I decided to get this bed after reviewing the few reviews that are available on Amazon. I was looking for a bed for our 5-yr old son. Most local stores carried beds that are too pricey. Low priced beds were available at some discount stores such as Big Lots, but all requires extensive assembling and there were no way for me to get any customer reviews on them. So I decided for the Legare Frog Twin Bed. As most other reviewer mentioned, this bed is very easy to put together. I will not even call it assembling. This is more like putting three pieces of LEGO blocks together! However, the quality of the materials looks sturdy. It fits a standard 39 x 75 twin mattress. Most of all, our son was excited to see this bed. I was concerned whether he will feel it too kiddie when he grows up a little. I thought that the design is not too toy-like so we hope he will continue to like it for several more years. I did not find any weight limit information about this bed. So I called the manufacturer Legare and left a message. I got a call back in an hour and they told me that this Twin Frog bed is tested to hold weights up to 800 lbs. So this can be used as a adult bed as well. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. Our son is even more happier and he cannot wait to tell about his new bed to his friends and neighbors. So I have to stop writing now and take him out so that he can share his new bed story! . » original news

Roll-Away Bed on Wheels (Kitchen) This "bed" is made from very poor quality materials. The frame is poorly designed and the mattress is best left out of the package because it is worthless. If you are looking for a well made and comfortable guest bed this is not the one you want to invest in. It is a true piece of junk! This is the typical " you get what you pay for" item.
Canwood Base Camp Loft Bed, Espresso (Kitchen) I purchased this item for my 12 year old son to increase usable space in his room. The bed shipped on time/quickly. It took me a hour and a half to assemble with minimal instructions, but it is pretty straightforward to figure out. The stain of the wood is consistent and looks fantastic. The wood itself comes from Viet Nam and is very light (not sure of the wood family). The wood can be easily dented or scratched, but no more than a comparable expensive Pottery Barn kitchen table I have. After tightening up every bolt and screw and attaching the ladder, the bed looked great did exactly what it was intended to do. I would have preferred a bed that was more sturdy when climbing onto the bed, once it was moved into the corner and had the support of the walls of the bedroom, that was less of a concern. My son LOVES it. And for the price and the look we got, we love it too. . » original news
