Local nursing colleges work to reduce shortage

A shortage of nurses is not a new occurrence. However, as cited in the March 20 editorial "Calling for nurses," what makes this shortage different is the interaction of several contributing factors. If we address only one factor without viewing the whole picture, it is like placing a small bandage over a large wound.
