We all have our “golden boy,” that shirt that is the smoothest touch to our skin and worn constantly. That prized quality for consumers to look for in their fabric purchases (i.e. – shirts, towels, linens, etc.) is referred to as fabric hand, or “textile hand,” by industry experts.The researchers from the Lithuanian Textile Institute surmised that because bamboo fabric has the characteristics of a soft feel, air permeability and antibacterial and hygroscopic properties, the presence of bamboo fiber in textile materials made of mixed fibres would positively improve the fabric hand of the material.
